OAKWOOD VIDEO LIBRARY
Not a
‘Hollywood Blockbuster’ style ‘video library’ but an extension of our Oakwood
Library book titles . . . programmes designed to complement our book range,
informing and entertaining whilst continuing to uphold the Oakwood tradition of
top quality.
Enthusiast orientated railway videos are so often lambasted for being poorly
produced, badly researched, of poor picture quality or just plain mediocre . . .
so its hardly surprising that with a commitment to quality Oakwood Video Library
established itself amongst the front runners in the field. Generally the
programmes are based on archive cine film the transfer to video being just one
element of our productions where compromise in not an option, in fact we firmly
believe that NO OTHER RAILWAY VIDEO COMPANY transfers cine film to our
standards. Every effort is made to get the best out of all the film we use, from
the initial hand cleaning through to the Telecine, we even individually grade
every shot to enhance the contrast and colour which so often fades with time -
yes our transfer to video is regularly an improvement on the original cine and
equal (if not better) than broadcast standards. |
